Galley kitchen to open-plan
A 1980s kitchen closed off from the dining room by a load-bearing wall. We put in a 4.2m flush steel, took the room back to brick and refitted it around an island. The owners stayed in the house throughout.

Bathroom back to brick
Original avocado suite, blown plaster and a floor that had been leaking quietly into the joists for years. Everything came out, the timbers were replaced and the room was tanked before a single tile went on.

Failing conservatory to rear extension
The lean-to was cold in winter, unusable in summer and coming away from the wall. We took it down, dug proper footings and built an insulated single-storey extension with a lantern over the dining table.
